Sometimes a baby may lack vitamin D in his or her diet and this will increase the likelihood that the baby experiences nappy rash or eczema. If your baby is rarely exposed to sunlight then it is a good idea to give the baby regular, albeit limited, exposure. We personally would not advise that you leave a baby exposed to direct sunlight for long periods simply make sure that little and often is your rule. Take a day outside and all members of the family will benefit, top up everyone's immune system . Clearly however if the baby has a reaction to sunlight then it is not at all advisable. Sometimes though these small efforts will go a long way to ensure that nappy rash remains a minor and occasional problem in your life and that of your children.
